Not everyone who wants a coach is ready for one — and I mean that with the most respect in the world. Knowing where you are is the first step to getting where you want to go. So let's figure it out together.

I'm going to be straight with you, because I think that's more valuable than a sales pitch. Coaching is an investment — of your time, your energy, and your money. I never want someone to make that investment before they're in a place to actually benefit from it. That wouldn't be fair to you, and it wouldn't be true to why I do this work.

So here are 5 signs you're ready to work with a coach — and 2 honest signs that the timing might not be right just yet. Read through, be honest with yourself, and then you'll know exactly where you stand.

5 Signs You're Ready for a Coach

1

You've been wanting to make a change — but fear or uncertainty has kept you stuck

You know something needs to shift. You've thought about it, maybe even researched it, but you haven't started because you're not sure where to begin or you're afraid of doing it wrong. That hesitation is completely valid — and it's exactly what a coach is for. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. That's the whole point.

2

You're already training plant-based but not seeing progress

You're showing up, you're putting in the work, and you're eating plants — but something isn't clicking. The results aren't coming, or they've stalled. You don't know what you're doing wrong, and you need someone to take an honest look at what's happening and help you fix it. That's a very coachable position to be in.

3

You've been plant-based for a while and you're ready to take it further

Maybe you've been living this lifestyle for some time but you feel like you haven't fully optimized it — especially around fueling your training, hitting your protein targets, or understanding what your body actually needs. Or maybe you've hit a wall nutritionally and need help getting back on track. Either way, you're not starting from scratch — you're ready to level up.

4

You're curious and open to trying something new

You're not 100% sure what you need yet, but you're open to finding out. You're willing to try new approaches, explore plant-based eating, and see what your body is capable of when given the right support. Curiosity and openness are genuinely two of the most powerful things you can bring into a coaching relationship.

5

You want to get seriously strong — or even compete — and you need a real plan

You have a goal that is bigger than what you can build on your own. Maybe you want to hit lifts you've never hit before. Maybe you're thinking about competing. Maybe you just want someone who will hold you accountable and build a program that actually gets you there. Whatever the level, having a clear, structured plan built specifically for you changes everything.

"If you said yes to even two or three of these — that's enough. Reach out. Let's have a conversation and see what's possible."

2 Signs the Timing Might Not Be Right Yet

This is the part most coaches skip. I'm not going to skip it — because I genuinely believe you should explore every free resource available to you before deciding to invest in coaching. And because the right fit matters more than a quick sign-up.

A note before we get into it

These aren't judgments. There is no shame in not being ready. In fact, knowing you're not ready yet is its own kind of self-awareness. I'd rather point you toward something that serves you well right now than have you invest in coaching before you're in a position to get the most out of it.

1

You haven't yet explored the free resources available to you

I believe everyone should do their own research and use every free tool at their disposal before making a decision to pay for coaching. If you're brand new to plant-based eating or strength training and haven't yet dug into blogs, communities, or educational resources — start there first. Get curious. Learn what resonates. Build a foundation. When you come to coaching having done that homework, you'll get so much more out of it. I'm not going anywhere — I'll be here when you're ready.

2

You're coming in with a closed mind about strength training or plant-based living

I welcome every question, concern, and hesitation — genuinely. But there's a difference between being curious and being closed off. If you're already certain that lifting heavy is wrong for you, or that plant-based eating doesn't work, coaching isn't going to change that — and trying to fight that battle wouldn't be fair to either of us. Come back when you're open. Curiosity is all it takes. I can work with curiosity.

Then fill out the inquiry form anyway. That's literally what it's there for — to help us both figure out if we're a good fit before any commitment is made. There's no pressure, no obligation, and no sales pitch waiting on the other side. The worst that happens is we both walk away with more clarity than before.

Yes. You don't have to be fully vegan to work with me. If you're plant-curious, actively reducing animal products, or somewhere in the middle of that transition — that's a completely valid place to start. I'm here to help you move toward what works best for your body and your values, at your own pace.

That's a fair question and I'm glad you asked it. A lot of coaching fails because it's generic — the same program handed to everyone, with little accountability in between. What I do is build everything specifically around you: your schedule, your goals, your food preferences, your starting point. And because I'm living this lifestyle myself, I'm not teaching from a textbook — I'm teaching from experience. That makes a real difference.

Then please don't. Seriously — use the free resources first. Join The Plant Powered Women's Gym, read the blog, follow along on Instagram, check out NutritionFacts.org. Build your knowledge base, get comfortable with the lifestyle, and come back when the timing is right. I would much rather you invest in coaching when you're genuinely ready than stretch yourself before you are.

Absolutely. In fact, starting with a coach as a beginner means you'll build the right habits and foundations from day one, instead of spending months figuring out what works and what doesn't on your own. If you're a beginner who's motivated, curious, and ready to commit — that's a wonderful place to start coaching from.

That depends on a lot of factors — where you're starting from, how consistent you are, how your body responds, and what "results" means to you. What I can tell you is that if you show up, follow the plan, and communicate with me along the way, things will move. My own transformation took 19 months of consistent work. I'm not going to promise you overnight miracles — but I will promise you that the process works when you work it.
